The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary is following with ever-growing concern the recent airstrikes perpetrated by the Yemeni Houti forces against civilian and oil industrial targets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hungary condemns the most resolutely these attacks and threats in unison with the international community.
As regards the conflict in Yemen Hungary supports every effort to achieve a peaceful solution through all-inclusive political negotiations and to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in this country. In this context the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade welcomes the initiative announced by Saudi Arabia on 22 March 2021 including its proposals for the political solution of the Yemeni crisis and calls on all parties to make every efforts toward reaching a ceasefire and the nationwide reconciliation as well as to alleviate its protracted humanitarian crisis.
